Technology is an important part for seniors to age in place because it helps them have independence.  However, technology use among seniors remains lower than any other age group.  This may be due to a lack of confidence when it comes to using new technologies  - only about a quarter of those ages 65 and older report feeling somewhat confident when using smartpones, computers, or other electronic devies.  Senior citizens are also most likely to need hlep setting up new devices or need someone to show them how to use it.
